A note on analytics

I use Google Analytics to understand which pages people read and how they find this site. When analytics is enabled, Google receives information such as pages visited, referral sources, device and browser details, approximate location, and cookie identifiers. It may process this information outside your country. Advertising features are disabled in this site's Google Analytics tag.

You can read Google's Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab) and how Google uses information from sites like this one (opens in a new tab).

Your choice

For visitors identified as being in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, I ask before enabling Google Analytics. Otherwise, it starts on unless you've turned it off, including when your region cannot be determined.

You can change your choice below at any time. Turning analytics off won't interrupt your browsing or reload the page. It won't delete information already sent to Google.

Your choice is saved in this browser for up to 180 days. Analytics cookies are also configured for a 180-day lifetime. If your browser blocks saving, your choice applies only to the current page.

Hosting & contact

Cloudflare hosts and protects this site, processing network information such as your IP address to deliver pages. Its hosting and measurement services are separate from the Google Analytics choice above. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab).

Your browser also saves your theme preference separately.
